Science involves people investigating the living, physical, material, and technological components of their environment and making sense of them in logical and creative ways. 

Learning in Science is fundamental to understanding the world in which we live and work. It helps people to clarify ideas, to ask questions, to test explanations through measurement and observation, and to use their findings to establish the worth of an idea.

Mangere College Science department is well resourced with experienced and knowledgeable staff. Students are provided with many learning opportunities and interactive experiments that introduce them into the world of Science. We cover the 4 strands of Science at the junior levels. Students are doing Biology, Chemistry and Physics at senior levels.

Our teaching and student stewardship is informed by pedagogical research and catered to the different learning styles of our learners. We offer a safe space for learning, collaborative and inclusive with content comprising fundamental theory and experiments.
