Farewell for 2021

Minister Hipkins has confirmed that all our students in Years 11 to 13 are able to return onsite from Tuesday 26 October.

I know there will be mixed feelings about a return to school but we do know how important face-to-face support and engagement will be for our senior students, particularly as they work to complete their NCEA assessments for this year. Our focus will be on completing internal assessments and gathering evidence towards external assessments. This means our students will be prepared for external exams taking place or having to provide derived grades if they cannot happen.

We will be following all the public health measures that are required so that we can keep everyone onsite (and their whānau) as safe as possible and we will be sending out more information about this later in the week.

We will continue to support our junior students with their learning from home via their Google Classroom so please continue to ensure students log on each day and stay up to date with their school work.

Please continue to follow all the Alert Level 3 requirements: stay at home if you are unwell, get tested if you have any symptoms (even mild ones), maintain your bubble, and keep track of where you have been.

And finally, please do support everyone you know who is eligible to get vaccinated.
